Saied Amiry Principal, Marketing

Like many founders, I know what it means to be an outsider, and how important that perspective can be.
The way you pursue your goals is just as important as whether or not you achieve them. At Turn/River, we work to transform the growth trajectory of capital-efficient B2B SaaS companies, bringing Silicon Valley experience and expertise to our portfolio of global startups.
I lead T/R’s internal marketing and data agency, which plugs into our portfolio companies and works to accelerate their growth. We do work that is truly fulfilling, collaborating closely with our portfolio companies’ go-to-market teams to drive growth, scale their impact, and help their staff further advance in their careers.
My passion for this work is rooted in my upbringing as a multiracial, first generation American. My parents came to the U.S. to create a better life, and they raised me to value hard work, resilience, and adaptability—all of which I find are critical to the success of our portfolio companies. Like many founders, I know what it means to be an outsider, and how important that perspective can be.
In college, I majored in economics and earned minors in computer science and accounting before graduating and spending nearly two years at one of the biggest accounting firms in the world. Eager for a more creative role, I soon transitioned to working at startups like QuinStreet, where I began my professional education in growth marketing, and Apollo Education Group, where I learned how to scale playbooks across multiple entities. I later moved to LinkedIn during a tremendous growth period, where I gained “full-stack” marketing experience.
At T/R, I’m able to combine these experiences with the skills and diverse perspectives of my amazing team, and put them to work growing different B2B SaaS companies.
We’re always ready to be their coach and help them build lasting growth.
In my free time, I run a few investment rental properties, spend time with my spouse and two daughters, and go to as many live musical events as possible. A fun fact about me is that I have a black belt in tae kwon do.
