Sebastien Delattre Vice President, Investment Development - Europe
Turn/River’s approach, operating model, and unique architecture are differentiators for the European market. Because we’re built like one, T/R understands software companies’ challenges and has crafted solutions to help companies grow.
Before joining T/R, I was an investment banker, mainly focusing on the European technology and software markets. After graduating from ESCP Business School and working in origination at BNP Paribas and private equity at Bpifrance, I joined Deloitte M&A Advisory in Paris as a generalist banker. There, I helped grow and structure the team, seeing it more than triple in size. I then joined a TMT boutique at their Sweden location, covering the European technology market from Stockholm. The team had grown from 15 to 45 professionals when the company was acquired by GCA Altium in 2020. I loved being part of that growth and a part of recruitment, training, establishing processes, and branding. To improve our coverage of continental Europe, I also worked alongside one of the founding partners to develop and recruit for an additional office in Switzerland and helped build our local business. Following my role in Sweden, I was recruited by Lincoln International in Paris and developed its business. TMT practice. My team quickly became a market leader in France and a key component of the international TMT system.
As the first T/R employee based in Europe, I bring proximity to our existing and future portfolio companies and an understanding of local and cultural differences. I help ensure we find and partner with compatible companies and focus on spreading T/R’s mission. We act as an extension of our portfolio companies’ existing teams, giving them access to senior operators with experience at some of the most successful software businesses in the world, so they can hit the ground running. T/R possesses a truly differentiating model and approach that is particularly relevant to European software companies.
Even before joining San Francisco-based firm T/R, I loved football and have been a 49ers fan for years. You can find me spending my spare time with my wife and two kids, running, or cheering on my hometown’s soccer team Montpellier HSC.
