Thomas Igeme Principal, Talent
I love waking up every day prepared to take on that challenge, building opportunity creation machines for investors, customers, and the people who make it all happen.
At Turn/River, we’re committed to creating exponential value for investors, customers, and the people who make up our portfolio companies. We do this through an ever-growing set of proprietary plays that help our companies turn growth into a repeatable science.
At Stanford University, I studied management science and engineering and received my master’s degree in public policy. I then joined Boston Consulting Group where I saw firsthand the role technology can play in transforming organizational effectiveness. Wanting to pursue those possibilities further I went on to hold leadership positions at LinkedIn and the digital workflow management company ServiceNow, and eventually founded my own learning tech startup, Trybe.ai.
Today, at T/R, I build talent strategies that accelerate the growth of our portfolio companies and make them amazing places to work. Getting talent and enablement right is complicated. Bad companies, ineffective bosses, or poor workplace cultures can undermine confidence and erode business value. I love waking up every day prepared to take on that challenge, building opportunity creation machines for investors, customers, and the people who make it all happen.
I co-build with our portfolio companies because no one knows your company like you.
The best answers come from creative tension that leads to a better solution than either party could come up with on their own.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with friends, whether that’s at the ballet or symphony, or binge-watching Netflix. Something interesting about me is that I grew up playing with cheetahs before I ever interacted with house cats.
